This rotation would provide student NP of psychiatry with a unique blend of learning experiences. The setting provides psychotherapy, medication management and psychiatric evaluations both in-person and remotely in Florida. Additionally, students would also be exposed to in-person interventional psychiatry for the treatment of severe treatment depression through the use of TMS, Spravato, nasal and IV ketamine treatments.

At Lakeland regional health on the adult inpatient units. Seeing a mix of SPMI and substance abuse problems. crisis stabilization usual 2-5 days. There is an adolescent unit and a Geri unit which I cover only intermittently. You will need to go thru HR for approval and it can take weeks.

See patients in their homes and Alf work in multiple cities from Lake Alfred Polk County, Lithia, Plant City, and Tampa

Busy private practice, mental health out patient setting - 5 days a week (Mon-Fri), flexible rotations, hours 8 am to 5pm. Average 20-25 clients daily, 50% pediatric, adolescent, and teenagers and 25% adult and 25% geriatric- mix between in office visits and tele health visits- Must be accepting of dogs- therapy dog with this provider (dog is 7lbs and hypoallergenic)

Preceptor has 2-3 students in office- no more due to wanting to provide individualized experiences Will be expected to assist with documentation and provide supervised assessments.
