SYMPOSIUM DESCRIPTION:

This symposium will strengthen the practitioner’s knowledge base, assessment skills, and assist in further development of dynamic practice strategies for diagnosis and management.

TARGET AUDIENCE:  

This program is designed to meet the needs of advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, and other health care professionals.

A block of rooms has been reserved for September 19-20, 2019 at The Terrace Hotel, Lakeland, Florida. Our symposium guests will receive a special group rate. To make reservations, please call (863) 688-0800.  Request the group rate for PCAPNA Conference at Florida Southern College. Room block available at the PCAPNA Conference rate until August 20th. 

PCAPNA will not be responsible for travel expenses incurred by the participant in the unlikely event that the program is canceled. Events, activities, and facilities of The Terrace Hotel are available without regards to race, color, sex, nationality, disability, or veteran status and in regards to the hotels respect for personal dignity.

MEALS: All meals will have a selection for vegetarian diets.

ACCREDITATION: 

This program is pending approval by Florida CEBroker for continuing education units. 

To receive continuing education credit, you must attend the accredited sessions and must return the program evaluation. In order to receive full credit, registrants must register no later than 10 minutes after the start of the meeting and must attend the entire meeting.

FLORIDA SOUTHERN COLLEGE:

Founded in 1883, Florida Southern College is the oldest private college in Florida.  Consistently named one of the Top Ten Most Beautiful Campuses in America (#1 in 2011 and 2012), it is home to the largest single-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture and attracts over 30,000 visitors a year to see his many buildings and structures.  Fiske Guide rates it “one of the best and most interesting schools” and in 2018, FSC was voted as a Top Producer of Fulbright Scholars.

DIRECTIONS TO FLORIDA SOUTHERN COLLEGE:

From I-4: From Orlando or Tampa take I-4 to exit 41. Take Exit 7 from the Polk County Parkway (South Florida Avenue).  Head north on South Florida to Beacon Avenue.  Turn right on Beacon to Lake Hollingsworth Drive.  At the lake, turn left and follow the perimeter of the lake, either parking at First Presbyterian Church just past the roundabout, or turning left onto Columbia Way, just one block past Ingraham Avenue.  The Charles T. Thrift Building is to your left facing Columbia.  Check-in for the conference will be upstairs in the Thrift building.
