Dear Ms Lester,
My name is Tabble Memoli and I am student enrolled in the Master of Science Distance Learning Program at the University of Cincinnati, College of Nursing. I found your name on the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners member list. I am looking for a Volunteer Clinical Faculty (preceptor). I live in the Florida Keys, and there are limited providers where I live so I am looking for opportunities in other parts of the state. Would you ask members of the Polk County Advanced Practice Nurses Association if they would be willing to support a student reach their goal of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner?
The clinical course and clinical hours for which I need a VCF is 100 Women's Health hours June 11-August 10, 2012 (FNP Practicum III), which is only 2-3 weeks. This will be my last semester and I am getting some experience at my current clinical site, but it will not be enough to meet the required 100 hours. My experience as an RN includes post-partum, newborn nursery & LDRP, as well as med-surg, pediatrics and Emergency Department. I have attached a copy of my resume.
The program’s clinical site coordinator will facilitate the contractual agreements between the University of Cincinnati and your clinical site and or hospital.
My current preceptor, Patricia Perry, ARNP can provide a reference and can be reached at 305-809-7502.
I can be reached at 205-534-0706 (cell) or 305-600-5177 (home) if you have any additional questions regarding my program or my experience. I will contact you in a few weeks to follow up.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
Tabble Memoli, RN, BSN
